How do I hang my wallpaper, are there hanging instructions included?
All our wallpapers are paste-the-wall, meaning you only need to apply paste to the area on the wall where you are hanging your drops. No dwelling time is required, simply measure your drop, cut your drop off the roll, paste the wall slightly wider than the drop width and apply the paper to the wall. All our rolls have full hanging instructions included, which you will find on the label around the roll and on the product page.
Is there a paste that you recommend?
Any premixed paste-the-wall tub adhesive does the job. We recommend Solvite Paste the wall adhesive.
I Have ran out of wallpaper part way through installing. What should I do?
No problem! If you have ran out of wallpaper please contact us as soon as you can with your order number and how many extra rolls you require. Please note that as our orders are printed to order, we cannot guarantee a perfect match due to the nature of the printing process. Batch samples are kept for every roll and we will match the additional rolls to the best of our ability to the original batch.
Can I order samples to see the quality and colour before I order rolls?
Absolutely. We highly recommend ordering samples before placing an order for rolls, as colours can appear different on screen compared to in person. We also offer different finishes and textures on different wallpapers in our collection, so samples are encouraged so you can get a feel of the papers. Samples can be ordered on each product page. You will find a drop down box with the option of Roll or Sample. Please choose sample and add to cart. Samples are £1.95 each, with free postage. Samples are A4 size and posted through your letterbox. If you require a larger sample - please contact us.
Do you charge VAT on wallpapers?
All UK customers have VAT included in the price of their order and will see the price including VAT. All orders being delivered to countries outside of the UK will not be charged VAT. To see the prices without VAT, please select your country using the dropdown box at the top right of the website. If your country is not there, your basket will be updated when you checkout and enter your delivery address to show the VAT deduction.
Are your wallpapers manufactured using sustainable materials?
All our wallpapers are FSC certified. We only print to order to eliminate any excess wastage. All of our offcuts are either used for packing or recycled locally at our nearest recycling plant, just round the corner. The inks we use are water based, meaning they contain no harsh solvent chemicals, and are the only ink to achieve UL Geenguard Gold certification.
What are your manufacture and delivery times?
All orders are manufactured within 5-7 business days.Delivery to UK is next day as standard.Delivery to Europe and US - please allow 2-3 days.Delivery to rest of the World - please allow 2-5 days.
Who is liable for Import Tax and Duty?
As the importer, you will be liable for any import & duty tax if delivery is outside of the UK. The amount payable is decided by the destination customs office. You will be notified of the tax and duty due via the courier, prior to delivery. If you would like to know how much you will pay for import and duty tax before ordering, please contact your local customs office.

What is your returns policy?
We hope you will be delighted with your purchase. However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied, we are happy to offer a refund on all goods returned to us within 14 days from the dispatch of order provided they are in the original packaging, unused and in resaleable condition. You must contact us as soon as possible with your order number, and reasons for return on info@thewallcovering.co or via the Contact page.
- Please note, you will be liable for the return shipping costs unless we agree that the products have arrived damaged/faulty.
- Damaged/faulty returns will be issued a full refund. including the initial delivery and return delivery cost.
- Returns for any other reason will be issued a refund for the goods only.
