At The Wallcovering Co, sustainability isn't an afterthought - it's woven into every decision we make. From the materials we source to the way we print and package, we're committed to creating beautiful products that are kinder to the planet.

🌲 FSC Certified Materials

Our wallpapers are printed on FSC-certified substrates, meaning the paper and wood-based materials we use come from responsibly managed forests. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification ensures that our supply chain supports healthy ecosystems, fair labour practices, and long-term forest conservation.

🚫 PVC-Free

We use PVC-free materials throughout our wallpaper range. PVC (polyvinyl chloride) can release harmful chemicals during production and disposal. By choosing PVC-free alternatives, we reduce toxic emissions and make our products safer for your home and the environment.

💧 Water-Based Inks & UL Greenguard Gold Certified

All of our printing uses water-based inks - free from harmful solvents and VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Our products carry the UL Greenguard Gold certification, one of the most rigorous indoor air quality standards in the world. This means our wallpapers are certified safe for use in sensitive environments, including schools and healthcare facilities.

♻️ Zero-Waste, Print-to-Order Manufacturing

Every order is printed to order - we never hold excess stock. This means zero overproduction, zero unsold inventory, and no waste from surplus goods. By printing only what's needed, when it's needed, we dramatically reduce our environmental footprint compared to traditional manufacturing models.

🔄 Local Recycling of Offcuts

Any offcuts and trimmings generated during production are recycled locally rather than sent to landfill. We work with local recycling partners to ensure that even the smallest scraps are given a second life, keeping waste out of the waste stream and supporting our circular approach to manufacturing.

🇬🇧 Made in the UK

All of our wallpapers and cushions are designed and manufactured in the UK. Keeping production local reduces transport emissions, supports British craftsmanship, and allows us to maintain close quality control over every product we make.
